Anika Myers Palm is a breaking news reporter for the Orlando Sentinel. She is a graduate of Georgetown University and the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. She has written about subjects including fraud, robberies, murders, economic trends and development, elder issues, real estate and education as a freelancer and staff writer for several newspapers and magazines in Florida. She has a particular interest in economic issues affecting women and families.
She became a journalist after spending two years working for T. Rowe Price, the mutual-fund-services company.
Her other interests include cooking and reading biographies and science fiction.
Anika, a Florida native, lives in Orlando with her husband, visual journalist Eric Palm, their daughter and their boxer.
